Antonio Trenton Guy-100 meter dash 1st place winner

Welcome to the Home of the Carolina Mustangs!

The Carolina Mustangs Track Club is a non-profit organization which originated in 2002 by Alvin Blakney.  We have approximately 60 elite runners that have paved the way for the Mustangs to become a top contender in the Southeastern 3A Conference.  Our qualified trainers' have participated in track and field which allows our athletes' to experience a high standard of training.

Our first year on the track we had several major accomplishments.  Our runners brought home a first place trophy at the 2002 Express Lane Invitational Meet in South Carolina.  That same year we traveled to the Jr. Olympics in Knoxville, TN receiving medals in the 200 and 400 meter run.

Other accomplishments throughout our four year span are:  For two consecutive years 17-18 year old young men received the Jim Law Invitational Award, 17-18 year old young men MVP Jim Law Invitational (for two years),    17-18 year old male 1st place AAU Club Nationals, 11-12 year old female MVP Jim Law Invitational, 11-12 year old female MVP Russell Blunt Invitational, 11-12 year old female 2nd place AAU Club Nationals, 11-12 year old youth male 3rd place AAU Club Nationals.  We have also broken several records and received numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals.  These accomplishments have set the stage for our track team to expand and continue to train athletes to become top medal winners.

IN MEMORY OF LOREN DANIELLE PERRY

August 15, 1992 - December 12, 2005.  A bright young Mustang who lost a courageous battle.  Loren will always be in our hearts and her family in our prayers.

We have set up a scholorship fund in Loren's honor.  This scholorship will help young athletes who are less fortunate. For more information email:  albenz11@netzero.net
